The ESSWAP Foundation organizes courses on behavioural pharmacology in close collaboration with the Division of Laboratory Animal Sciences of Utrecht University, the Netherlands.

ESSWAP courses are set up specifically for bio-scientists who want to acquire the knowledge and necessary skills for the good conduct of behavioural experiments, to expand their understanding of behavioural pharmacology as the ultimate level of integrative phenotyping, and soundly extrapolate their data to clinical pharmacology and practice.

The 2011 course is exclusively for Neuromodel fellows. Eligible candidates for the 2012 ESSWAP course are invited to use the on-line questionnaire at the esswap.org website.

The 2010 edition of the course was highly appreciated by the participants, who originated from Nigeria, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands (3). Their evaluation in pdf format can be downloaded here. The on-line documentation of the 2010 programme can be accessed by clicking here.
Additionally, a DVD will become available end 2010, that provides the slide presentations and video material of animal behaviour and behavioural pharmacology presented at the 2010 course.

Programme and content of the 2011 ESSWAP course on behavioural pharmacology,
June 26 - July 1, are essentially similar to those of 2010.

The ESSWAP study director will gladly provide any additional information at director@esswap.org.
